Tips for Dry Mouth
- Drink 8 glasses of water/day and increase that amount during times of colds and flu.
- Chew fruit drops instead of mints but be careful about the sugar if you have your own teeth.
- Do not use mouthwashes that contain alcohol, they cause dryness.
- Most sinus medications, prescription and other counter medicines will increase dryness. Try plain Robitussin and keep a cool mist humidifier in the rooms you occupy most.
- Biotene products are excellent in oral care and dry mouth relief. They are sold at Walgreens and Wal-Mart.
- Medications: Numoysin, Salagen and Evoxac. For more information on these drugs, type the name in GOOGLE and it will give you the break down of each drug or call you doctors office.
